Pledge to Protect your pet in a disaster
As the fourth anniversary of the Christchurch Earthquake (February 2011) sadly approaches The Body Shop® is getting behind a local initiative by World Animal Protection to urge New Zealand pet owners to plan for their pets in a disaster now, before it’s too late.
Please find out how you can protect your pet in a disaster now, before you could potentially lose each other forever...
To help Kiwi pet owners protect their pets in a disaster, World Animal Protection has launched a new free on-line resource: protectyourpet.org.nz which has been developed in conjunction with the Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management.
By visiting the website, New Zealand pet owners can download their free Disaster Planning Pack, with simple and practical advice to help them plan for their pet, whether they have dogs, cats, small animals (rats, mice and guinea pigs), rabbits, fish, birds, horses or Assistance/Guide Dogs.
From 16 February - 29 March 2015 The Body Shop® will be encouraging customers, in-store, to visit protectyourpet.org.nz to download the correct packs for their pets and therefore ‘pledging’ to protect their pet in a disaster.
