PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Purse that makes change. These purses are handmade by women from Burma as part of an income generation program run by SAW (Social Action for Women) in the border town of MaeSot, Thailand. The production of these purses creates an income for the women who make them, as well as additional funds for SAW services.

SAW operates safe houses for abandoned babies, orphaned children, a women’s and children’s crisis centre, a school for these children, and an HIV/AIDS shelter – all for women and children from Burma affected by displacement along the Thai/Burma border.

• Full profits from the sale of these purses give Burma’s forgotten women and children a place of safety free from oppression, persecution, hunger and child trafficking.

  • All goods are dispatched from Wellington, New Zealand and are delivered by Track & Trace Courier. At the time of collection from our despatch centre you should receive an email with your track and trace link. The email will also include instructions on who to contact if you are not happy with your delivery.

    Currently, we offer nationwide standard delivery at a flat fee of NZ$4.95 (incl.GST). Our orders are delivered using track and trace courier. All orders should arrive within 1 to 3 working days (rural deliveries may take longer).
