Community Trade
From Cameroon

Known and loved for its moisturising powers, beeswax has been used in cosmetics for over 2,000 years! We’re all about respecting the natural rhythm of the bees. Our wild-harvested Community Trade beeswax is sourced from northern Cameroon, where the beekeepers are keeping traditional sustainable beekeeping techniques alive.

Enrich Our Products

Beeswax has been used in beauty for over 2,000 years because of its remarkable benefits for the skin and hair. Not only is it extremely softening and moisturising, it also provides a film of protection against irritants. Lip balms containing beeswax are one of the best ways to ensure that your lips don't chap in winter months, because of its long-term moisturising effects. Improve the condition and texture of your skin and hair with this age-old beauty secret.

Enrich Our People

Our trade with Guide D’Espoir (meaning ‘Guiding Hope’) helps provide stable employment and a fair wage to around 1,000 beekeepers, also helping to benefit the wider community – that’s 10,000 people in total!

Enrich Our Planet

The beekeepers sustainably harvest honey and beeswax from hives in the wild forest, just as they have done for centuries. Their beeswax is pure and free from pesticides, and certified organic by the Soil Association.
